3 Things to do to get the most out of your day!

bend space and time Apr 01, 2017

Today we would like to share with you our top 3 tips to getting the most out of your day!

Plan the Work and Work the Plan

At the start of your day (or even the night before) sit down and plan out your day! Write down things that you need to do today and then when you are going to do them. Seriously, if you do not have a plan for your day, it can all go to pot! You might be pulled from this angle to that, following this phone call and that email, and then spend your day fulfilling others' agendas and tasks that they need to get done and not get to what you wanted (or needed!) to do. When you have your plan! Stick to it! Yes, life happens and situations might crop up that is outside of your control, but when that happens, see what can be transferred to tomorrow's schedule and then make sure you get it done.

Hasta la Vista! Distractions!

Do you know what are the four top distractions in our workspace these days?

Mobile phones/texting
Internet
Social media
Email

How do you deal with these on a daily basis?

We have certainly seen the value of minimising distraction like these when we have focused work-time during the day. One way we deal with it, is to actually schedule time in our day to engage with mobile phones, internet, social media or emails. We schedule time twice a day to go onto emails and social media, so then we know that there is time scheduled to keep up with online contacts and messages.

Block your time into distraction-free time slots and make sure you have no distractions in that time. Distractions just serve as Energy-Suckers, and fills your day with a whole lot of nothing! Or as we said above - you running around fulfilling others' tasks and agendas.

Tap and Move

This is one of our favourite things to include into our day! After 40 - 50 minutes of focused time blocks, we get up and move! Sometimes its bouncing on the rebounder, doing some stretching or doing some tapping! More often than not, we blast out some of our favourite tunes, and dance and jump around, just to get the energy flowing again. As we said in one of the previous  emails, exercise is so important to keeping you energised and focused to get all those tasks done!

Talking about getting tasks done... Have you heard of our PAL programme? PAL stands for Productivity Accountability and Lifestyle and this programme is geared to helping you get most out of your time and energy, on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Click here to learn more...
