Have you ever spent a couple of hours with a fun nun?
Aug 26, 2018We would love to introduce you today to a very inspirational lady! A definite SuperPreneur in her own right as she truly has the drive, passion, and aspirations of the "Richard Branson's" of this world! (Video at the end of this email is so worth checking out)
So without further ado... Let us introduce you to Sister Sabina Staff! Sister Sabina is Declan's great-Aunt who was over from the UK for a visit. We love catching up with her whenever she is over as here energy is remarkable and her attitude towards life is eye-opening.

Sister Sabina Staff, 91 years young, has spent decades helping the homeless and supporting drug addicts in Birmingham through the charity Sifa Fireside where she used to volunteer 40 hours of her time each week.
Nicknamed ‘The Mother Teresa of Birmingham’, Sister Sabina has raised over £1m to help the region’s homeless, braving all weather conditions and dangerous areas to distribute food and blankets to the homeless.
When Sister Sabina was recognised for her charity work in Birmingham, receiving an MBE from the Queen in 2009. She said: “The Queen was very interested in my work and very nice about it."
Even though Sister Sabina has a long list of accomplishments, awards and other achievements it is her positive attitude and her big heart for people that always impacts us the most! During our morning over tea and scones, we asked her if she will share with us her "secret" to living a happy and fulfilling life...
This was her answer in a nutshell:
- Always smile and encourage others
- Create life every day
- Have a positive outlook on life
- Make sure you travel and meet a variety of people
- Appreciate life - "Sure, when you wake up in the morning, isn't that exciting?!"
- Have fun! You have to laugh and have some craic!
When Declan asked her what does she do when she meets people who are negative or sees life negatively, she said "Well if you can get them to smile, crack a joke or something, you made a difference already"
I can tell you the laughter and the jokes flowed around our cups and scones throughout the morning... and just in case you are reading this and in need of a joke... here are one of the crackers from the day...
"There was this couple who had a tumultuous relationship, and when the husband died, he got to the pearly gates and met St Peter. St. Peter said to him if he can spell the following word, he can get in through the gates... Spell LOVE, so the man did and he was let in. It so happened that St Peter was called away from his post at the gate, and asked this man to mind his post. As luck would have it while the man was there minding the pearly gates, his wife arrived... He said to her the same thing... You have to spell this word, and if you can you can be let through... So she asked what is the word... He said the word is "Czechoslovakia"
On that note... We are wishing you a Super day and make sure you watch the short video Declan recorded at the end of our visit below. Enjoy!
